60 miles...WALK ON! Welcome to my 2004 Breast Cancer 3-day page! This year it's on to MINNEAPOLIS, MN where I will be walking with team SOLE SISTERS!
Pat, Amanda, Judy, Barb, Susan and I will begin training in two weeks for our 60 mile trek to benefit the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization operating for charitable and educational purposes.
I began this mission in 2001 when I signed up for my first 3-day in Chicago, Illinois. Completing the walk was difficult after rain and record cold temperatures left our team wondering WHAT EXACTLY we had gotten ourselves into!?
We soon realized walking 60 miles isn't crazy, it's a way to provide hope and encouragement to yourself and others. Donations from these events over the past few years have raised MILLIONS for research and education to help women in our world.
